German Measles
German measles is a type of light measles and not very serious except for preganant women. Warning! Especially if they are infected during the first 3 months of preganancy. >Symptoms: It lasts for 3 or 4 days, a slight reddish rash occurs. Swelling and pain in lymphatic ganglions in head and nape of neck sometimes occur; one week before a rash breaks out in the skin, fever and a slight discomfort occur too. Pregnant women should stay away from a person with German measles during the first three months of pregnancy. >Causes: A contagious virus transmitted by inhaling infected water droplets found in the air and saliva. >Suggested treatment: Vaccination against this disease during childhood is the adequate step for its prevention. An adult or child should stay in bed and drink tea made of willow bark which contains an analgesic similar to aspirin. It is recommended to stimulate the immune system by taking bee Propolis, (Propoleo). It is suggested to vaccinate women against German measles no less than 6 months prior to getting married. Warning! When German measles is contracted during the first 3 months of pregnancy it may be very dangerous for the child. You should be very cautious and see a physician.
